Funeral services for Mrs. Hanna Jacobson, 90 formerly of the Rose Creek area, were held Saturday, January 28 at Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle, with the Rev. Merland Johnson officiating. Interment was in Six Mile Grove Lutheran cemetery. She died January 26 after a short illness at Raymonds Nursing Home in Austin.

Hanna Helene Jacobson, the daughter of Jarand and Guro Olson, was born April 30, 1876. She attended school in Nevada township, and was a dressmaker before her marriage to Andrew K. Jacobson February 20, 1899.

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Jahnke, age, 86, of Lyle were held Wednesday, January 11 at Our Savior's Lutheran church Lyle with the Rev. Merland Johnson officiating. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery at Austin, Minn.

Mrs. Jahnke died at St. Olaf hospital in Austin Sunday, January 8 from only a short illness.

Margaret Jahnke, the daughter of August and Elizabeth Hauff, was born March 28, 1880 in Germany.

Funeral services for John Jacob Ruiter, 69, were held Monday January 3 at Bethel Alliance church in Lyle with the Rev. Richard Williams officiating.

John Ruiter was born March 8, 1897 in Meservey, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Engelke Ruiter. He was baptized at Immanuel Reformed church, Belmond, by the Rev. Janssen. He grew up in the Meservey area and attended school there and also attended Humbolt College in Minneapolis.

Graveside services were held Friday, November 11 at Six Mile Grove Lutheran cemetery for Mitchell Dean Austinson, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Austinson of Stewartville, who was born November 9 and lived only two hours. The Rev. James Bergman of Stewartville officiated.

Survivors are his parents, his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dunker and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Austinson, all of Lyle.

Following the service the family all met at the Robert Nelson home in Lyle.

Mrs. Clara Orcutt, 88, of Lyle, died at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin October 25 following several years of illness. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 28 at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin with the Rev. Walter Blanchard officiating. Interment was in Enterprise cemetery southeast of Austin.

Clara Eastlee Orcutt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Even Eastlee, was born September 24, 1878 at Oslo, Minn.

Mrs. Clara Rawn, daughter of Arnie and Gundiel Larson, was born in Mitchell County, August 25, 1883 and died at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital September 22 after a short illness.

She attended school in Mona, and on June 29, 1904 was united in marriage with Walter Rawn at Austin, Minn. They farmed in Lyle township and Mrs. Rawn lived in the Lyle community all her life.

Funeral services were held in Lyle Tuesday, September 13 for Mrs. John J. Ruiter, 69, at Bethel Alliance church with the Rev Richard Williams officiating Burial was in the Reformed cemetery at Chapin, Iowa.

Mrs. Ruiter died Sunday at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital in Osage, having entered there only the day before with a heart attack.

Word reached Lyle relatives last week of the death of a former Lyle area man, Jack Knutson, 81, of Pine River, Minn. He died July 24 and funeral services were held at Pine River Wednesday, July 27.

Jack Knutson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Knutson, was born west of Lyle in Lyle township in the Minnereka district where he attended the rural school.

He was married to Eliza Olson of Lyle and after her death was married to Elizabeth Metress of Albert Lea. He moved away from this area about 30 years ago.

Word reached Lyle relatives Wednesday of the death of a former area Woman, Mrs. J. M. Hofland, 74, of Circle, Mont. Tuesday, May 31 at the Great Falls, Mont. hospital from a lingering illness, but death came suddenly while she was in the lobby of the hospital where she had gone for a check up.

Funeral services were held at Circle, Mont. Saturday, June 4, and interment was at Circle.

Funeral services for John Nelson, 78, who was killed in a car accident near Grafton May 9 were held Friday, May 13 at Six Mile Grove Lutheran church with the Rev. S. Klemesrud officiating and interment was in the church cemetery.

John Delfin Nelson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin D. Nelson, was born March 10, 1888 in Mower county, Minn., one of a family of eleven children.

Ole Lillegaard, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Oleson Lilligaard, was born May 23, 1873 in Lyle.

His mother passed away when he was an infant and he was raised by foster parents near Adams, Minn, where he resided until he returned to Lyle to help care for his father.

On December 5, 1899 he was united in marriage to Signe Stoe in the parsonage by the Rev. J. Muller Eggen. One daughter and two sons were born to this union.

Funeral services for Jeanne Marie Norregaard, age 4, were held Tuesday, August 2 at Our Savior's Lutheran church with the Rev. Merland Johnson officiating. Interment was in Woodbury Cemetery, west of Lyle.

Jeanne Marie, the daughter of Walter and Shirley (Paulson) Norregaard, was born July 25, 1961. She was baptized October 19 that same year.

She died suddenly July 31 as she was being rushed to St. Olaf hospital in Austin following a attack of illness.

Funeral services for Joseph A. Libersky, 77, were held Wednesday, June 23 at Schroeder & Houg Funeral Home in St. Ansgar with the Rev. M.H. Averbeck, pastor of Bethel Alliance church, Lyle, officiating.

Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery.

Mr. Libersky died June 21 at Veterans hospital, Minneapolis, following a short illness.

Funeral services for a former Lyle resident, Mrs. Lula Hughson, 83, were held June 14 at First Methodist church in Austin with Dr. William Law officiating with interment in Woodbury cemetery west of Lyle.

Mrs. Hughson died very suddenly last Thursday at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin following spine surgery for a blood clot. She had returned to her home in Austin only the previous Sunday from California where she had spent the winter with her son, Ward J. Hughson at El Monte.

Hazel Belle Bell, the daughter of William and Clara DeLaney was born May 13, 1897 in Mitchell county.

She attended the rural school Mitchell county schools and also the Lyle high school.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 25 for a former Lyle area man, Ole A. Olson of Austin, Minn. at St. Olaf Lutheran church in Austin with the Rev. Melvin Hauge officiating. Interment was in Woodbury cemetery west of Lyle.

Ole A. Olson, eldest son of Andrew and Anna (Adamson) Olson was born at Northwood, Iowa July 31, 1886. He was confirmed at the age of fifteen in the Lutheran faith at Northwood.

Funeral services were held in Minneapolis Wednesday, February 24 for a former Mona resident, Ben Steene, age, 83.

He died at his home in Minneapolis Monday February 22 following a five week's illness from a stroke.

Services were held at Werness Funeral Home and interment was in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery with the Rev. I. O. Jacobson
officiating.
