Funeral Held At
Bethel Alliance

Funeral services were held in Lyle Tuesday, September 13 for Mrs. John J. Ruiter, 69, at Bethel Alliance church with the Rev Richard Williams officiating Burial was in the Reformed cemetery at Chapin, Iowa.

Mrs. Ruiter died Sunday at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital in Osage, having entered there only the day before with a heart attack.

Tena Koenen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Koenen, was born at Woden, Iowa June 28, 1897. She grew up in Meservey, Iowa area and June 16, 1920 was united in marriage to John J. Ruiter. They moved to Lyle 30 years ago where she has resided since.

Survivors include her husband John; one daughter, Mrs. Wayne Libersky and one grandson, Larry Libersky. Also three sisters, Mrs. Louis Altman, Sheffield, Mrs. Class Steinhard, Thornton; and one brother, Jake Koenen, Sheffield.

Pallbearers were Leonard Leidall, W.E. Wood, Harry Jordan, Conrad Myhre, Melvin Elverum and Frank Bedford.
