Mrs. Hanna Jacobson Funeral Held At Our Saviors

Funeral services for Mrs. Hanna Jacobson, 90 formerly of the Rose Creek area, were held Saturday, January 28 at Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle, with the Rev. Merland Johnson officiating. Interment was in Six Mile Grove Lutheran cemetery. She died January 26 after a short illness at Raymonds Nursing Home in Austin.

Hanna Helene Jacobson, the daughter of Jarand and Guro Olson, was born April 30, 1876. She attended school in Nevada township, and was a dressmaker before her marriage to Andrew K. Jacobson February 20, 1899.

They made their home on the Jacobson homestead near Rose Creek where they were engaged in farming. Mrs. Jacobson lived on this farm her entire married life except for the past 5-years when she resided in Austin.

Eight children were born to this union.

She had been a life long member of the Lutheran church, being faithful in church attendance, very active in Ladies Aid and Mission Circles.

Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Goldie Hanson, Mrs. Erling (Harriet) Hanson, Mrs. Clifford (Ruby) Mayzlik, all of Austin; Mrs. George (Lulu) Fossey, Lyle and Mrs. Jerry (Nona) Lines of Minneapolis; three sons, Arnold, Kenneth and Oliver Jacobson, all of Austin; also 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, and one brother, John Jaranson of Thief River Falls, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew and one grandson, Fred Lines.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Robert, Larry and Steven Hanson, Gerald Fossey, William' Lines and Arlen Jacobson.

Out of town friends and relatives attending the funeral were from Freemont, Neb.; Mankato, Chatfield, Rochester, Minneapolis, and Albert Lea, Minn.
