Funeral services for Joseph A. Libersky, 77, were held Wednesday, June 23 at Schroeder & Houg Funeral Home in St. Ansgar with the Rev. M.H. Averbeck, pastor of Bethel Alliance church, Lyle, officiating.

Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery.

Mr. Libersky died June 21 at Veterans hospital, Minneapolis, following a short illness.

Joseph Libersky, the son of Julia and Anton Libersky, was born in New York City December 11, 1887. At the age of two parents moved to Iowa and in 1902 the family moved to Sio, Ore. where they resided for eight years. In 1910 the family moved back to Iowa.

On October 14, 1919 he was united in marriage to Luella Halverson of St. Ansgar. They lived there where Mr. Libersky was employed for the Illinois Central Railroad Co. for thirty-five years. One son, Ray Wayne, was born to this union.

In 1934 he and his family moved to Lyle where he resided until his death.

Surviving are his wife, Luella, his son, Ray Wayne, one grandson, Larry Libersky; one sister, Mrs. Annie Nelson; three brothers, Frank, Charlie and John, all of St. Ansgar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Pauline and two brothers, Ed and Vaney Libersky.
