Raymond Edwin Bisbee, the son of Virgil and Hannah (Jacobson) Bisbee was born May 16, 1905 on a farm near Lyle in Mower county, one of a family of 15 children.

When a child his parents moved to Baker, Mont. where he attended school. When Raymond was a young man his parents moved back to near Lyle and on October 19, 1933 he was married to Ida Lindley at Osage. Three children were born to this union and they made their home in this community and surrounding area most of his life except for 15 years in Minneapolis where he was employed at the Ford Plant there. They moved back to Lyle in 1950 and the past 17 years he had been employed at Usem's in Austin.

He died April 9 from a heart attack at the age of 60.

He is survived by his wife Ida, one son Vincent of Waukegan, Ill; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Shirley) Mumm of Broomfield, Colo. and Mrs. Galen (Connie) Lehnhardt of Austin and four grandchildren.

Also three brothers, Bradford and Leonard of Spokane, Wash.; of Osage, Arthur of Toeterville, eight sisters, Mrs. Thomas Van Alstine, Temple City, Calif., Mrs. Cora Johnson, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Myrtle Kelly of Miles City, Mont., Mrs. Irene Ries and Mrs. Lewis Jansen, both of Billings, Mont., Mrs. Verna Morse and Mrs. Lavern Hough, both of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Vivian Taylor of Spokane, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson and three brothers.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 13 at Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle with the Rev. Merland Johnson officiating and interment was in Grandview Memorial Gardens at Austin, Minnesota.
