Steven Pihelgas Funeral Held December 12

Funeral services for Steven Pihelgas, 14, who as killed Sunday, December 9 in a tractor accident in Lyle, were held Wednesday, December 12 at our Savior's Lutheran church in Lyle with the Rev. Harold Luecke officiating.

Steven Michkel (sic) Pihelgas, the son of Kaljo and Kathleen (Matter) Pihelgas, was born in St. Paul December 28, 1958.

Josef Milinte Kulff, 77, son of Milesho and Mary Dmitruk, was born November 15, 1889 in Kamen Koszyrsh, Rajon, Russia, in the Province of Wolinska Oblast. He came to this country when a young man in 1907.

In 1920 he was married to Phoebe Guttomson at Austin, Minn., and they farmed southeast of Austin, northwest of Hayfield & at Oakdale, Blooming Prairie & Lansing before coming to Lyle 22 1/2 years ago where operated an Elevator & Fee Mill. The past few years he operated the North Star Station in Lyle.

Joe M. Kulff, 77, died Friday, March 17 at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester following a stroke. He was a Lyle business man, operating the North Star filling station.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 21 at Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Merland Johnson officiating.

Interment was in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Austin.

Raymond Bisbee, 60, of Lyle died suddenly Saturday, April 9, following a heart attack.

He had just finished washing his car at the Lyle car wash and was visiting with friends and he suddenly collapsed. An ambulance was called, but he died enroute to the Mitchell County Memorial hospital.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 13 at Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle with the Rev. Merland Johnson officiating, and interment was in the Grand View Memorial Gardens at Austin.

Funeral services for a long­time businessman, Leonard Leidall, 76, who died Sunday, May 29, were held Thursday, June 2 at Our Saviors Lutheran church with Rev H. Luecke officiating.

Leonard Rudolph Leidall, son of Knut and Emma (Knutson) Leidall, was born in Union township, Mitchell county, September 15, 1900. He attended Union #5 rural school and was baptized and confirmed at Six Mile Grove church and lived most of his life In the Lyle area.

Funeral services for a former Lyle resident, Mrs. Amanda Wedeking, 67, were held Wednesday, November 16 at the Worlein Funeral Home in Austin with the Rev. Arthur Swenson officiating. Interment was in Grand View Memorial Gardens at Austin.

Mrs. Wedeking, who had lived in the Lyle area until four years ago when she moved to Austin, died there from a lingering illness Sunday night.

Survivors are her three sons, Walter, Donald and Willis, all of Austin. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son.
