A former Lyle resident, Dr. Leslie E. Pike, 79, died Friday, September 30 at Community hospital, Long Beach, Calif. where he resided and operated a veterinary clinic.

He was a former Lyle veterinarian and came to Lyle about 1918, and was also a co-owner of the Pike-Groh Drug store in Lyle for several years.

He is survived by a son, Dr. Burton F. Pike of Long Beach, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Roxie Magness, Long Beach; Mrs. Iona Stull, Covina, Calif.; also one sister, Mrs. Rosebel Christianson of Minn. and 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 4 at Long Beach, Calif.
