Obituary.

The angel of death has again been in our midst, beckoning to one who has for some time been lying in a critical condition, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Anderson.

Mrs. O. P. Larson was born Oct. 26, 1826 at the capitol city in Norway. On Sept. 29th 1847, she was married and came to America Oct. 6th 1885.

Mrs. Halvor Lunde passed away Tuesday at her home in Mona.

She was born in Nedenesss Amt, Holts, Prestegjeld, Norway, the 23rd of June 1829. Her childhood and youth were spent in Norway. On the 10th of October, 1854 she was married to Halvor Lunde and to them were born three children; 2 sons and 1 daughter. The daughter died in infancy. The sons are Halvor of this place and Thor of the state of New Jersey.

Orvin Larson obituary

Orvin, the nine year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Larson died Tuesday evening at Austin where he was taken for an operation for appendicitis the same morning. He was not operated on as his case was too far advanced. He was the only son in the family and will be greatly missed. He was taken sick Wednesday of last week and grew steadily worse from that time.

Funeral was held Sat. afternoon at Mona church and interment at Pleasant Hill cemetery.

The remains of the late John M. Larson who died at Marion N. D., last week Wednesday was brought here for burial accompanied by Mrs. Larson and Chris Johnson. The funeral was held at the Lutheran church Sunday afternoon and interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Those who attended the funeral from abroad were Mrs. Larson's mother, Mrs. Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Rogne of Adams Minn., the deceased's sisters from Northfield and Mabel, Minn. Clara Leidall at Lyle

Clara Reuter Leidall, daughter of Margaret and Carl Reuter, was born June 16, 1899, in Jones county, Iowa. At the age of 14 she moved with her parents to Lyle, Minnesota. On October 18, 1919, she was united in marriage to Clifford Leidall. To this union three children were born: (Cleo) Mrs. Harland Libersky, and Paul of St. Ansgar, Iowa; Myron of Owatonna, Minn.

Funeral services for Mr. L. E. Larson, prominent local businessman, were conducted by Pastor Stanley V. Gjervik at Our Savior's Lutheran church last Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Louis Sola rendered the song service. Honorary pall bearers included: Leonard Leidall, Henry Dahl, Wm. Nordland, Nels Robertson, Henry Stromley and Peter Anderson. Active pall bearers were: Glen Myhre, Alvin Myhre, Conrad Dyrland,Lloyd Olson, Maynard Huff and Gaylen Carlson.

Mrs. Mathilda D. Larson, 80, died Thursday evening at her home in Mona, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mathilda D. Larson, Mona, Iowa, will be held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Mona Lutheran church. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the Jordan chapel until 10 a. m. Monday.

Halvor Lunde passed away suddenly at his home in Mona on Thursday morning, Dec. 29.

He was born in Nevada Twp, Mower Co Minn., on Jan. 12, 1884. He was baptized and confirmed by Rev. J M Eggen, and attended public school at Mona.

John O Larson was born in Grue Solar, Norway March 20, 1858, the son of Mr and Mrs Ole Larson, having attained age of 89 yrs, 10 mo and 28 days. He died on the 17th day of February 1948 at the home of his daughter and son in law, Mr and Mrs Peter Nelson where he lived for 20 years.

Funeral services for Mrs Joseph Malloy, 46, died June 19, were held Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran church at Austin, conducted by Rev. Noss. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery, the Schutte Funeral Home of Austin in charge.

Mrs Anna Malloy, daughter of Hans and Bertha Helgeson, was born May 12, 1898 near Lyle. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran church.

Died Suddenly Sat.

Mary Annette, second child and eldest daughter of Ole and Thea Myervold was born in Hallingdahl, Norway, January 2, 1881 and passed away Jan. 6, 1940, at the age of fifty nine years and four days.

When about 1 1/2 years old, she came to this country with her parents and older brother and settled in St. Paul, Minn. They lived in various points in Minn., and Iowa during her girlhood. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith.

JOHN LUNDEBLADE BURIED-
TUESDAY

John Lundeblade passed away Saturday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Wyborny where he had been since he was unable to care for himself. He had not been well for several months. He had reached the ripe age of 82 years, 11 months and 19 days.

The deceased was born in Heningsborg Sweden his parents being Borge and Frederika Lundeblad. In the year 1887 he immigrated to America and for many years resided in this vicinity. The family home was for some time where the Leonard Leidall family now reside.

Lewis Larson obituary

Lewis A. Larson, highly respected and well known member of Our Savior's Lutheran church passed peacefully away, Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2:15 P. M., 1938.

He was born April 13, 1873 at Mona, Mitchell County, Iowa.

He was confirmed in the Christian faith at the Mona church by Rev. J. M. Eggen. In 1901, he moved to his farm northwest of Lyle where he resided until his death.

Gunder O. Larson was born in Norway, Jan. 13, 1861. He emigrated to the United States in 1882, coming to the village of Mona. In 1887 he was united in marriage to Carrie Larson. To this union was born nine children, five of whom died in infancy. He is survived by his widow and four sons, Alfred and Herman of Charles City, Iowa; Oscar of St. Ansager, and Clarence of Austin; also one brother John of Mona; two sisters, Mrs. John Jahr of St. Paul and Mrs. John Hanson of Plymouth, Iowa.

Martha Larson, wife of John O Larson, passed away at the home of her daughter; Mrs. Peter Nelson, Sunday evening at 7:50. She was born in Grue Prestejeld, Solar Norway on November 6th 1850 was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the same place.

Mrs. Larson attained the age of 86 years, 23 days. She was the last member of a family of 7 children; born to Mr. and Mrs. Hans Samuelson: She immigrated to the United States in July, 1873 and made her home with her parents; Mr. and Mrs. Hans Samuelson, who had preceded her to the United States.

OBITUARY

The remains of Ole Larson were brought to Mona for interment, the funeral service being held in the church, Monday afternoon. Mr. Larson died at the hospital in Mason City Friday afternoon. Rev. Langehough had charge of the funeral services.

Ole Larson was born in Solor, Norway, April 25, 1863. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. In 1882, he came to this country and located at Mona, Ia. During the last 23 years he has resided at Mason City, Iowa.

Obituary.

Halvor H. Lunde, one of the old settlers and a most respected citizen of this community, passed away at his home in Mona Wednesday morning after a few days illness. He had not been feeling altogether well for some time but on account of his advanced age this was not considered as serious and up to Sunday he was about his usual business. During his residence of over 20 years in this community he has made many warm and staunch friends. He was exceptionally well versed in his own language and was a most interesting person to converse with on most any subject.

Bertha Lunde Rites Held April 1 At Mona Lutheran Church

Funeral services for Bertha Lunde, 86, longtime Mona resident, who died March 28 at the Heritage nursing Home in Mason City, were held April 1 at the Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Gaylord Grant officiating.

Bertha Lunde, daughter of Halvor and Martha Lunde, was born May 12, 1893 in Otranto township, Mitchell County. She was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran Church. She attended Mona public school and lived in Mona most of her life. Miss Lunde was a member of the ALCW and Dorcas Society of Mona Lutheran.
