Halvor Lunde passed away at his home Tuesday morning Nov 10th, after a long illness, at the age of 80 years and 8 months.

He was born in Holt, prestejeld, Norway, March 10th, 1856. On June 13th, 1877, he was united in marriage to Marthe Gledjie. They immigrated to the United States in the spring of 1882, first locating at St. Paul, Minn., and later moved to this community. To this union 8 children were born; two of which died in infancy. Those remaining are: Mrs. Anne Eby, of Carleton, Mich; Mrs. Julia Lugg of Osage, Iowa; Ole Galchutt, North Dakota; Henry of Osage, Iowa; and Bertha and Halvor of Mona; also 10 grand children and one great grand child, and one brother in Norway.

Mrs. Lune passed away in March of this year. Blessed be their memory.

The funeral was held at the home at 1:30 P. M., and at the Mona church, Thursday Nov. 12, at 2 P. M., Rev. Langehough officiating.

Thou art gone but not forgotten
Thou hast reached the other shore
But to us even Heaven Heaven
seems brighter
Since thy feet have passed the door.
Thou hast earned the rest, dear father,
In the home where thou art gone
And the crown of love, God gives
Thee rest upon thy peaceful brow.
