Halvor Lunde passed away suddenly at his home in Mona on Thursday morning, Dec. 29.

He was born in Nevada Twp, Mower Co Minn., on Jan. 12, 1884. He was baptized and confirmed by Rev. J M Eggen, and attended public school at Mona.

He retired last Feb. 1 after 47 years of service as bridge carpenter on the Chicago and Great Western and Illinois Central Railroads. He is survived by two brothers: Ole of Galchutte, N. D., and Henry of Osage; three sisters: Mrs Theo Eby of Carlton, Mich., Mrs Chas Lugg and Bertha Lunde of Mona. There are six nephews and four nieces.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev Stanley, G Gjervik at the Mona Lutheran church Tuesday Jan. 3, 1949. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Pall bearers were: Harvey Goldberg, Larden Halvorson, Peter Anderson, Alfred Larson, Adolph Jahr and Chris Nelson.
