Last Rites For
Clara Leidall at Lyle

Clara Reuter Leidall, daughter of Margaret and Carl Reuter, was born June 16, 1899, in Jones county, Iowa. At the age of 14 she moved with her parents to Lyle, Minnesota. On October 18, 1919, she was united in marriage to Clifford Leidall. To this union three children were born: (Cleo) Mrs. Harland Libersky, and Paul of St. Ansgar, Iowa; Myron of Owatonna, Minn.

Mrs. Leidall was a member of the Alliance Church and its Missionary Society and was active in the Helping Hand Society. For the past three years she has been stricken with paralysis and was unable to converse with anyone. This affliction never dampened her spirits. She was always cheerful, a good Christian, and placed her trust in the Lord.

Mrs. Leidall passed away at their farm home north of Lyle Tuesday afternoon, September 9th, at the age of 53 years, 2 months and 17 days. Besides her husband and immediate family she leaves to mourn her death five grandchildren, two sisters, (Laura) Mrs. Ben Engelbardt of Langworthy, Iowa; (Augusta) Mrs. Louis Helgens of Monticello, Iowa; also two brothers, Raymond Reuter of Rose Creek and Leo Reuter of Austin. Her parents and a brother, Rex Reuter, preceded her in death. She also leaves many other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Alliance Church, Lyle, Minneasota, with the Reverend Jerome Peterson officiating. Interment was at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa.

Prull and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gerdes, all of Langworthy, Iowa; Mr. Elwill Reuter and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wilms, all of Scotch Grove, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leidall and Oscar Leidall of Marion, N. Dakota; Mrs. Leonard Lee of Montpelier, N. Dakota.
