MRS. MARTHA LUNDE

Mrs. Martha Lunde passed away at her home Sunday morning March 29th after a long illness, at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 4 days. She was born in Halt prestejeld Tvedestrand, Norway, April 24th 1856.

Mr. and Mrs. Lunde were married in Norway on June 13th, 1877. In 1882 they immigrated to the United for a short time, then moved to this State, locating in St. Paul, Minn., for a short time, then moved to this community where she lived the remainder of her life. To them were born 8 children two of which died in infancy. Those remaining besides her husband to mourn her death are. Mrs. Anne Eby, of Carleton, Mich., Mrs. Julia Lugg, Osage, Iowa. Bertha, Halvor and Henry of Mona, also nine grand children and one great grand child one sister and one brother in Norway.

She was a Christian mother, devoted to her family, Blessed be her memory.

While you, dear Mother softly sleep,
Away from sorrow and from care,
We are lonely and often weep,
For we miss you everywhere.
Rest in peace, dear Mother,
For your work on earth is done.
You have gone where those who love
you, will meet you one by one.

Rev. Langehough conducted the funeral which was held April 2, a 1:30 at the home, and at 2:00 at the Mona church. Interment was at Pleasant Hill cemetery.
