Mrs. Helfritz Dies Saturday
FUNERAL SERVICES HELD AT LYLE TUESDAY; BURIAL WAS MADE AT MONA
Mrs. B. W. Helfritz, 48, died at her home near Lyle Saturday morning at 7:40 o'clock as a result of complications which developed during an attack of influenza. Funeral services were conducted at the Norwegian Lutheran Church at Lyle Tuesday afternoon, Rev. O. M. Langehough officiating. Interment was made at Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.
Mr. Knut Strand, one of Lyle's most respected citizens, passed away Sunday at his home at about 11 o'clock. The funeral was held Thursday at the Lyle church and the remains were laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
The funeral of Mrs. Martha Gould was held last Thursday afternoon at the local church. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
The remains of John Larson, a former resident of this place, were brot here last Thursday for burial in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. Mr. Larson had been living at the home of his brother near Orchard for a number of years and passed away last Tuesday.
The funeral of the six months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Thorstad will be held at Lyle Wednesday afternoon at 2:00.
The funeral of Miss Sara Tufften (sic) was held at the Lyle church on last Saturday afternoon. Interment was made at the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Knut Strand mourn the loss of their youngest child, which died of brights disease. The funeral services were held at the Lutheran church Wednesday, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery south of town.
The little year and a half old baby of Mr. and Mrs. T. Seaverson who died Saturday morning was buried in Sunny Side cemetery Tuesday afternoon. The funeral was conducted in the church by Rev. Dietrichson and was largely attended.
The funeral of the baby girl of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Severson was held at Mona Church Tuesday afternoon. The services were very touching and beautiful and the little child now safe with the angels in departing from the frail small body, seems to have left imprinted on the pale sweet face; her vision of eternal mourning.
Mrs. W. G. Whitney of Aurelia, Iowa, arrived here Saturday to attend the funeral of her father Osmond Strand, who died last Friday.
J. B. Steene, Lyle, whose illness was reported during last week and this week in Lyle news passed away at the home early this morning, thus another of our oldest settlers has passed on. He had been very ill the past several days with hardening of the arteries. Funeral services will be held tomorrow.
John Ries passed away last Friday morning and was buried in the Mona cemetery Sunday afternoon. The many friends of the afflicted family extend their heartfelt sympathy.
Raymond Rierson, who died at Lyle last Tuesday was buried in the Sunny Side Cemetery Wednesday last.

Funeral services for Peter Qualley, London, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Worlein Funeral Home, the Rev. A. C. Korsrud officiating. Temporary interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Mamie Ogden Funeral Held At Osage June 11
Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Ogden of Osage, former Otranto resident, were held Friday afternoon at the Missionary Alliance church in Osage with burial at Mona.
She is survived by four children, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services for Chris G. Olson, 511 Harmon, will be held at 1:30 p. m. Monday at the Worlein Funeral home, Rev. Arthur Taxdahl, Menomonie, Wis., officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill cemetery, Mona, Iowa.
