Rachel M. Neiswanger — Austin
AUSTIN — An interment service for Rachel M. Neiswanger will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Cedar City Cemetery, six miles south of Austin on Highway 105.
Rachel Marie Neiswanger, 91, of Austin, died Jan. 20, 2008, at Austin Medical Center.
Clasen-Jordan Mortuary of Austin is in charge of arrangements.
--The funeral of Eben L. Merry occurred last Thursday, in charge of McIntyre Post of this city, Chaplain Rev. W. E. Stanley conducting the services. The remains were buried in Cedar City cemetery.
Several from here attended the funeral of the late Arthur Gemmel at his home in Cedar City Thursday afternoon. Rev. TenBroeck of Austin officiated. Mr. Gemmel was a member of the A. O. U. W. at Austin.
BROWN -- Funeral services for Claude L. Browns, 910 4th Ave. NW, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Mayer Funeral Home with Frak Sciascia of the Austin Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses presiding. Interment will be in Cedar City Cemetery, rural Austin. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday until time of service on Friday.
Last Rites for Mrs. Louis Sola
News reached here Saturday of the sudden death of a former Mona resident, Mrs. Louis Sola, now at Minneapolis. Mrs. Sola had been at Rochester for treatment of a severe case of asthma. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Worlein Funeral home in Austin at 1 p.m. with burial in the Mona cemetery.
Funeral Today for Mrs. Jennie Nelson
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Nelson, 78, of Mona community, who died Monday evening, April 21, at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital in Osage, will be held Thursday, April 24 at 2 p. m. at the Lyle Mission church.
Burial will be in the Mona cemetery. A complete obituary will appear in next week's Enterprise.
Conduct Services for Former Mayor of Lyle
Jens Larson, former mayor of Lyle, died Saturday after a lingering illness. Funeral services were conducted yesterday. Mr. Larson was mayor for eight years and was in partnership with his brother in a meat market. He is survived by his wife and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Dahl of Lyle will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Lyle, Rev. Stanley Gjervik and Rev. Ralph Yeates officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Mitchell county, Iowa.
Friends may call at the Worlein Funeral home until 10 a. in. Sunday. The casket will be closed at 1:30.
Mrs. P. P. Dock returned to Hawley, Minnesota, Monday having come down to attend her father's funeral. Andrew Bjerk (sic) was buried Thursday in the sunny side cemetery.

Emma Sandvig, 74, died of a lingering illness at her home in Lyle Sunday evening, June 9.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Six Mile Grove Lutheran church with the Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating.

Rites Held In
Minneapolis
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Naverseth, Mrs. Ole Helgeson, Mrs. Walter Leidall, all of Lyle, and Mrs. A. B. Dahl of Austin attended the funeral of their cousin, Algy Slinde, 52 in Minneapolis Saturday held at the Werness Funeral home. Rev. Orin Thompson, of Minneapolis a cousin of the deceased, was in charge of the service.

HELD AT OUR SAVIOR'S
Clifford Horgen, 63, suffered a serious heart attack at his farm home at 4:30 p.m. Sunday and died the same evening at the Memorial hospital in Osage at 8 p.m.
Funeral services were held at Our Savior Lutheran church in Lyle Wednesday afternoon, August 17.

A. O. Austinson Funeral Rites Held Wednesday
A well known Lyle and Rose Creek area man, A. O. Austinson, age 74, who has been a farmer, auctioneer and stock buyer, died very suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Rose Creek Sunday evening just after he had retired for bed.
Funeral services were Wednesday, August 5, at Six Mile Grove Lutheran church with interment in the church cemetery.

James C. Samuel, 65, of Austin, Minnesota, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.
Service: Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nancy Hansen officiating.
Visitation: Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at Worlein Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Interment: Interment will be in Cedar City Cemetery in rural Austin.
The death and burial of William Wheeler at Lyle, On Tuesday of last week, was mentioned in your last issue. He was buried with Masonic honors. The day was fine and the ceremonies perfect and impressive. There was the largest attendance ever gathered on such an occasion at Lyle. At a regular communication of Alma Lodge, held July 14, 1891, the following resolutions of condolence were adopted and ordered to be spread on the records of the lodge; also published in county papers, and a copy presented to relatives:
Gus Edie died of quick consumption at St. Olaf's hospital, Saturday morning and was brought here Saturday evening for burial. He had been ill but a short time, having been confined to his room less than two months. He was born in Norway, and had been in America, only about four years. For the past two and a half years he has been in the employ of Meyer & Nelson, and O.T. Lund. He was a quiet unassuming young man, and by his courteous ways had won many friends among both young and old. He leaves a mother in his native country, and his first thought seemed to be for her welfare.
The funeral of the late Miss Olive Johnson, was held from the home of her niece, Mrs. B.D. Hedemark, on Thursday, Feb. 27th. The interment was in the Norwegian cemetery near Mona, Ia. The deceased was nearly 72 years old at her death, and for nearly 25 years had been a member of the Hedemark household.
Peter Fisher, an old resident of Lyle town, died last Wednesday and was buried in the Mona cemetery last Thursday. Rev. J. Muller Eggen officiated. It was a large funeral.
Grandma Inga Olson died last Monday morning at her home at the age of ninety years and seven months. She was laid to rest at the Mona Cemetery beside her husband and children Thursday afternoon. She was born in Norway, Aug. 26, 1821. She and her husband Lars, came to Chicago and to Lyle in 1873 where he was in the furniture business.
Mrs. Norris Anderson Funeral To Be June 27 Mona Lutheran Church
Funeral services for Mrs. Norris Anderson, 62, of Toeterville, who died Tuesday morning, June 25 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, will be held Thursday, June 27 at 1:30 p.m. at Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Gaylord Grant officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery. A complete obituary will appear in next week's Enterprise.
The Rev. and Mrs. Clifford Schroeder of Kenyon and Mrs. Rhoda Schroeder attended the funeral of Mrs. Rhoda Schroeder's brother, Chester Reistad at Austin Saturday. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery, Mona.
