Gus Edie died of quick consumption at St. Olaf's hospital, Saturday morning and was brought here Saturday evening for burial. He had been ill but a short time, having been confined to his room less than two months. He was born in Norway, and had been in America, only about four years. For the past two and a half years he has been in the employ of Meyer & Nelson, and O.T. Lund. He was a quiet unassuming young man, and by his courteous ways had won many friends among both young and old. He leaves a mother in his native country, and his first thought seemed to be for her welfare. Although he has passed into the great beyond, without a parting word from loved ones, he was tenderly cared for, by those who knew him best. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Kinney of the M.E. church, Monday at 2 p.m. and his body laid to rest in Sunnyside cemetery near Mona.
