Halvor Hanson, of Austin, who had been in poor health for the past years, passed away at his home Wednesday morning. Funeral services were held Friday at the local church and interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.

The funeral of O. P. Hanson was well attended last week Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Groth of Union mourn the loss of their baby girl who died Wednesday evening last week of a brief illness, aged 5 months. The funeral services were held at the Mona Church Friday afternoon, Pastor J. M. Eggen officiating. The bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends.
GEORGE -- Funeral services for Mrs. Kelly (Hanna) George, 908 8th Ave. SE, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel, Rev. E.E. Setness officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa. Friends may call at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday until the time of service.
Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Gunderson who passed away at the home of her niece, Mrs. Chris Olson, after a long illness, were held at the local church last week with Rev. O. M. Langehough officiating. Interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Henry Thompson, of Milaca, Minn., came last week to attend the funeral of Mrs. Otto Fossey, who died suddenly Sunday evening, August 26. The funeral services were held on last Wednesday afternoon at the Lutheran church at Mona. Mr. Fossey and his children have the sincere sympathy of this community.
The remains of Mrs. Gullickson of Northwood were brought here and laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. Mrs. Gullickson was at one time a resident of Mona.

Funeral services for Philip Church, rural Osage, Iowa, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Mona Lutheran Church, Rev. Gaylord Grant of that church and Rev. Einar Unseth of Faith Lutheran Church, London, officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Champion Funeral in Osage.
The funeral services for Mrs. John Christianson were held at the local church last Tuesday afternoon, with the pastor, Rev. O. M. Langehough, in charge. Interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Miss Emma Carlson died last Saturday evening at 11:30 at the home of her parents, who live one mile southwest of Mona, Iowa, after an illness of about twelve weeks. The deceased was seventeen years five months and seventeen days old, having been born July 3rd 1885. The funeral services were held at the house, Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock and were conducted by J. M. Eggen.

The funeral service for Mrs. Olena Carlson was held at the local Lutheran Church Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. O'Lena Arneson passed away Sunday at her home about a mile east of London after several months of illness. Mrs. Arneson was about 74 years of age. The funeral was held Wednesday and interment was made at Mona Cemetery. Rev. Moe had charge of the funeral.

Funeral services for Mary Kirby Berry, Grand Meadow, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Worlein Funeral Home, Rev. Gaylord Grant officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
MRS. CARL ANDERSON
Mrs. Carl Anderson died Thursday at Minneapolis, where she made her home.
She was a former resident of Lyle and an aunt of Mrs. T. M. White, Austin. Graveside services will be held Saturday afternoon at Mona, Iowa.
Several from here attended the burial services at Pleasant Hill cemetery for Mrs. Rosena Anderson of Austin on Saturday. Mrs. Anderson was a former resident here.
Mrs. Camilla Anderson, who has been sick, following a stroke, passed away at her home early Saturday morning. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the local church and interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Gulick Knutson, living just south of Minnereka school house, died Tuesday of this week. Funeral Thursday. He had lived in this vicinity for a long time.
Thor Larson, one of the early settlers of Six Mile Grove, died Thursday at his home in Nevada and was buried Saturday.
Mrs. Paul Anderson, one of the old settlers of Nevada, died Saturday evening of bowel trouble, aged about 70. Funeral services were held at the church Monday, Rev. J. M. Eggen officiating. A large concourse of mourning friends was present.
Ole Berge, aged nearly 80 years, was buried last Saturday. He had suffered terribly the past six months.
Phyllis L. (Helle) Jacobson, 85, of Lyle, Minnesota, died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at her home.
Service: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Six Mile Grove Lutheran Church in rural Lyle, Minnesota.
Visitation: Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Interment: Interment will be in Six Mile Grove Lutheran Cemetery.
Funeral home: Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
Several Mona people attended the funeral of Mrs. Melvin martin at the Six Mile Grove church on Sunday.
Memorial Service.
A goodly number attended the Memorial Service, Sunday afternoon, sponsored by the Masonic Lodge, in honor of their deceased brother, K. A. Knutson.
The members gathered at the hall, and marched in a body to the church, there being twenty-two in line.
Mr. Beach presided at the service, and introduced the speaker, Reginald Coleman, B. D., minister of the Presbyterian church at Austin.
HELGESON-- Funeral services for James Helgeson, Lyle, will be held at 3 p.m., at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lyle, Rev. Harold Luecke officiating. Interment will be at Six Mile Grove Cemetery, Lyle. There will be no visitation or reviewal. Worlein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
