CARL REUTER DIED SUDDENLY
MONDAY EVENING

News of the sudden death of Carl Reuter, prominent farmer and citizen reached Lyle friends Tuesday morning. It was indeed a shock to all as only a few close friends realized that he was in the best of health.

OBITUARY CARL REUTER.

The community was greatly shocked Monday evening when word came of the passing of Carl Reuter.

Mr. Reuter was born May 5th, 1878 in Javer, Germany. He was the third son of Gerd and Gesina Reuter. At the age of fourteen years he came alone to America to live with his uncle at Monticello, Iowa.

In 1897 he was united in marriage to Margaret Siebels of Monticello. To this union three daughters were born. Mrs. Reuter passed away August 11th, 1906.

SHOCK TO ENTIRE COMMUNITY

Last Friday evening as Miss Alma Rasmussen was preparing to retire, she was seized with a sudden heart attack, and passed away within fifteen minutes. Miss Rasmussen had known for some time that conditions were not normal, but had not taken the warnings seriously, and continued as usual with her round of duties and social activities, ever jolly and smiling, full of life and vigor.

THE OBITUARY OF ALMA RASMUSSON

Miss Alma Rasmusson was born in Larvik, Norway, September 30, 1890, and passed away suddenly at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Halvor Blakestad, at Lyle, February 10, at 10:30 p.m. She had been in apparent good health until the time of her death.

Miss Alma was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in her home town. In 1908 she came to America and has made her home with her aunt since that time.

Held Here June 4

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Christian and Missionary Alliance church for Mrs. Mamie Ogden, 65, who died last Tuesday at Mitchell County Memorial hospital in Osage. Mrs. Ogden had been afflicted with a heart condition for many years, and this was the cause of her death.

The Rev. Melvin Hall, church pastor, was in charge of the services. Arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons, and burial was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.

OLE OLSON

Ole Olson, 85, died Tuesday afternoon at St. Olaf Hospital.

A former resident of Lyle he made his home at 200 5th St. SW. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Julia Peterson and Mrs. E. H. Schwanke, Lyle, and Mrs. Annie Dennis, Austin; many nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon.

OLSON- Funeral services for Ole Olson, 200 5th St. SW, will be held at 1:30 p. m. Thursday at the Worlein Funeral Home, Rev. Melvin Hauge officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill temporary interment at Oakwood.
