Arnie Helmer Larson, was born September 24, 1875 to Arne and Gunhild Larson, near Mona, Iowa on the farm where his brother still lives and passed away July 23, 1943 at the age of 67 years and 10 months.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church of which he was a faithful member at the time of his death.

George L. Kilgore of Mona, Iowa, passed away at St. Olaf Hospital at 10:25 A. M., July 4th, 1929. Had he lived until July 12th, he would have been 46 years old. He was born at Otranto, Iowa, July 12, 1883, and was married to Miss Mina Johnson of Mona, Iowa, on May 1st, 1907. They made their home in Mona and vicinity.

The remains of Mrs. John Larson whose death occurred at Marion, N. D., and was mentioned in last weeks Tribune, were accompanied here by Arnie Anderson and son Andrew Anderson. The body was laid to rest in Pleasant Hill cemetery the same afternoon.

Anna Louise Larson was born at Adams, Minnesota, Feb. 23rd, 188[illegible:?] and grew to young womanhood in that vicinity.

She was united in marriage to John Larson of Mona, Iowa April 1902, and in the spring of 190[illegible:?] they moved to Marion, N. D., where she has since resided.

OBITUARY.

Mrs. Ingeborg Kvale, nee Myhre, was born on the Atlantic Ocean, May 11, 1854. With her parents she came to Wisconsin and lived near Stoughton for some time. Later the family moved to Iowa and settled near Emmons, Minn., Then Ingeborg was united in marriage to Andrew J. Kvale. After the wedding Mr. and Mrs. Kvale made their home at Brookings, S. D., for nearly 30 years. The last few years they have lived on a farm west of Lyle.

Mrs. Kvale has been ailing the last two years steadily becoming weaker until she was called away Saturday, March 22, at 5:40 P.M.

Frank W. Kovarik, 69, of 507 No.57th Ave W. died suddenly in his home in Duluth recently. He was born in Iowa and was a Duluth resident for the last 14 years. He was an employee of the Diamond Calk Horseshoe Co.

Surviving are his widow, Ella M. one daughter, Dorraine, Duluth, four brothers Joseph, of Cedar Rapids, Adolph of Protivin Iowa, and William and Edward in Texas and one sister Mrs. Charles Kalesek, of Protivin Iowa.

Mrs. K. O. Knutson found dead

Mrs. K. O. Knutson, living east of Mona, who recently returned home from St. Olaf's hospital was found dead in the water tank at her home, Thursday. A coroner's inquest was held and the decision was that she had died of heart failure while sitting on the edge of the tank. She leaves a husband and four little ones besides a large number of friends to mourn her loss. The funeral services were held at the Mona church Sunday, Rev. Rasmusson of Adams, officiating.

Mildred Joan Klema, 79, of Kemp, Texas, formally (sic) of the Harmony, Minnesota area, died April 27, 1999 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana, Texas.

She was survived by two brothers and a sister-in-law, George and Myrtle Klema, Chatfield, Donald Klema, Kemp, Texas; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a grave side service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, in Mona, Iowa on Friday morning at 10 a.m.

Henry Otto Johnson, son of Christian and Carrie Johnson, was born September 1, 1893 at Fort Dodge, Iowa.

When a young man he came to Lyle and on May 16, 1916 was united in marriage to Sadie Olson. Five children were born to this union, to whom he was devoted father.

He was a merchant and salesman for most of his working life. He operated a department store in Lyle many year, and the past 25 year had been a Raleigh dealer.

Funeral services for Adolph E. Jahr, 71, who died at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital in Osage Sunday, March 24, were held Wednesday, March 27 at the Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating.

Adolph E. Jahr, son of Nils and Gen Jahr, was born July 9, 1891 at Mona, Iowa in Mitchell County. He was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran church and also attended the Mona Public School.

Harold Oscar Johnson passed away at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Johnson October 24th 1908, at 9 o'clock.

Harold was born at Fort Dodge, Iowa. Nine years ago he moved with his parents to the Lyle farm west of the village. Last spring he was very sick and was confirmed while in bed, being too weak to attend the service with his class. He seemed to rally for awhile but never fully regained his strength.

Lilly Adella Holt Arneson was born in Lyle Township Oct. 19, 1900. Her mother died when she was 7 months old. She was then adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Arneson, in whose home she was surrounded by Christian influences and grew to womanhood under their loving care and guidance, a devout and true Christian.
