Miss Edna Dock, who has been in the hospital in Minneapolis for several weeks, was brought home Thursday evening, and passed away Saturday evening at 5 o'clock, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dock, Jr.

The funeral of the late Esther Olson was held at the Lutheran church in Lyle, Monday, at 1:00 o'clock and was conducted by Rev. A. Elmer Moe. interment was made in the family lot at Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Silas B. Perkins.
Silas Perkins of Lyle, a barber, died suddenly at his home there last Sunday evening. He was at his work as barber until the shop closed on Saturday evening. Ben went to Lyle from London about ten years ago to learn the barber trade of R. P. Gibson.

Mrs. Samuel Volstad
Mrs. Samuel Volstad, a resident for several years of Lyle passed away in this city last Monday at St. Olaf hospital. She had been there for two weeks and during the fifteen years previous had undergone seven operations.
Matie Helfritz
Matie Melvina, the infant daughter of mr. and Mrs. W. B. Helfritz of Lyle died Saturday afternoon at 1:30 after an illness of about 15 days. Little Matie Melvina was born Saturday march 20th last and was six months, 12 days old. The funeral was held last Monday afternoon and interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Our Savior's Church, Lyle
Funeral services for Mense P. Fossey, 91, of Lyle, Minn., who died Friday, May 1 at St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held Monday, May 4 at Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle, with the Rev. Harold Luecke officiating.
Mr. Fossey was born February 18, 1896 in Otranto Township, Mitchell County, the son of Anton and Olivia (Christianson) Fossey. He attended Pleasant Hill Prairie school. He was baptized and confirmed at Mona Lutheran church.
Workers Give Cemetery Face-lift
Mona's Pleasant Hill Cemetery received a face-lift August 30 when a work party was organized to straighten up the cemetery. The work force was headed by Jeffrey Anderson of Anderson Memorials of Austin and Norris Anderson of the Mona Cemetery Board. Seven community members donated their time to help with the project, including Norman Blakestad, Ira Hofland, Dean Duenow, Robert Gleason, Tom Knutsen, Joe Follmuth and David Gunderson.
Mrs. Norris Anderson Funeral To Be June 27 Mona Lutheran Church
Funeral services for Mrs. Norris Anderson, 62, of Toeterville, who died Tuesday morning, June 25 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, will be held Thursday, June 27 at 1:30 p.m. at Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Gaylord Grant officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery. A complete obituary will appear in next week's Enterprise.
St. Ansgar, Iowa- Funeral services for Helen Eleanor Nelson, 92, of St. Ansgar, were held Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005 at the Mona Lutheran Church, Mona, Iowa, with Rev. Lydia Mittag officiating.
Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona. Helen died on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage, Iowa.
The Rev. and Mrs. Clifford Schroeder of Kenyon and Mrs. Rhoda Schroeder attended the funeral of Mrs. Rhoda Schroeder's brother, Chester Reistad at Austin Saturday. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery, Mona.

Neal Richard Fossey, 46, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, died Sunday, June 15, 2003, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage, Iowa.
Webster Johnson, 87
Webster Johnson, 87, of Lyle, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center, Austin.
He was born Dec. 25, 1915, to John O. and Mathilda (Arneson) Johnson in Lyle.
He graduated from Lyle High School in 1934, attended the University of Minnesota for three years then returned to Lyle to farm. He began a dairy operation and delivered milk door to door in Lyle. Later he raised beef cattle and crop farmed.
On Jan. 14, 1940, he married Marlys Richardson. They had seven children.

Donna was born July 28, 1932 in Otranto Township, Mitchell County, Iowa to Roy and Bessie (Berg) Duenow. She was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran Church. She graduated from St. Ansgar, Iowa Senior High School and received her teaching certificate from Iowa Teachers College, Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Marlys Verdell Richardson was born on Aug. 12, 1918, in Lyle, Minnesota, to Hans and Anna (Olswold) Richardson. She graduated from Lyle High School in 1935 at the age of 16, as she had skipped a grade in school. She was valedictorian of her class. After graduation she worked for her uncle, John Hanson, at Hanson’s Department Store in Lyle.

Mona Lutheran Centennial August 14, 15
Our Savior's Lutheran congregation at Mona is observing its Centennial August 14, 15. It was organized September 29, 1876 in Mona's first schoolhouse. It has been an independent congregation prior to that of the St. Ansgar Norwegian Lutheran church from 1853 to 1859, then from 1859 part of the Six Mile Grove congregation.
The first pastors at Mona were the Rev. C.L. Clausen, who brought Lutheranism to this area; the Rev. J. Olsen and the Rev. B.B Gjeldaker up until and through 1881.
