Mrs. Harry Bell Funeral Held At Bethel Alliance

Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Bell, 67 were held Tuesday, May 11 at Bethel Alliance church in Lyle with the Rev. M. H. Averbeck officiating. Interment was in Woodbury cemetery west of Lyle.

Hazel Belle Bell, the daughter of William and Clara DeLaney was born May 13, 1897 in Mitchell county.

She attended the rural school Mitchell county schools and also the Lyle high school.

Ole A. Olson Funeral Held In Austin

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 25 for a former Lyle area man, Ole A. Olson of Austin, Minn. at St. Olaf Lutheran church in Austin with the Rev. Melvin Hauge officiating. Interment was in Woodbury cemetery west of Lyle.

Ole A. Olson, eldest son of Andrew and Anna (Adamson) Olson was born at Northwood, Iowa July 31, 1886. He was confirmed at the age of fifteen in the Lutheran faith at Northwood.

Walter Sherman, 68, lifelong resident of Lyle, died Sunday, January, 24 at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage from a heart condition that had kept him hospitalized there for the past eleven weeks following several serious heart attacks.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 27 at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin with the Rev. M. H. Averbeck officiating and interment was in Woodbury cemetery.

Funeral services for Grover C. Salisbury, 79, who died Thursday, February 20 at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital after a lingering illness, were held at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Lyle with the Rev. Merland Johnson officiating. Interment was in Woodbury cemetery.

Grover Cleveland Salisbury, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Salisbury was born November 27, 1884 at Lake City, Calhoun County, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 14 for Mrs. Grover Salisbury, 82, who died Wednesday, September 11, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage following a five weeks illness.

Services were held at Our Savior's Lutheran church with the Rev. Merland Johnson officiating with interment in Woodbury cemetery.

Anna Christine Garnatz Salisbury, the daughter of William and Tonie Garnatz, was born at Racine, Wis., December 18, 1880. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Auburn, Iowa, April 15, 1900.

Mrs. Bert Hobkirk Funeral Held January 29

Funeral services for Mrs. Bert (Lillian) Hobkirk, 87. of Lyle, who died Tuesday, January 25 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held Friday, January 29 at Worlein's Funeral Home in Austin.

Lillian Wyborny, the daughter of Joseph and Nancy (Williams) Wyborny, was born near Lyle on May 19, 1883.

On June 10, 1908 she was married to Bert Hobkirk at Mona. They farmed near Lyle until they retired to Lyle in 1957.

She was the last member of her family of 11.

Lorenz Franzen died

LORENZ FRANZEN

Lorenz (Larry) Franzen, 63, died Tuesday night at St. Olaf Hospital. He was a farmer in the Lyle area.

Surviving are his wife, Linda; two daughters, Mrs. Bryon (Londa) Jones, Greenville, S. C., Mrs. Jim (Lola) Vaith, Mason City, Iowa; two sons, Lyndon Franzen, Austin, Lowell Franzen, Lyle; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Tom (Anita) Orvick, Littleton, Colo., Miss Rose Franzen, Sunnyvale, Calif.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Worlein Funeral Home.

Lulu Wilder funeral

WILDER- Funeral services for Mrs. M. E. (Lulu) Wilder, formerly of Austin Rt. 2, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Rev. Stanley Hanks officiating.

Interment will be in Woodbury Cemetery. Friends may call at the Jordan Mortuary until 10 a.m. Wednesday and at the church one hour before the service. The family prefers memorials.

Olaves Halverson, 76, died Sunday at Memorial Hospital, Osage, following a brief illness.

A resident of Lyle, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Franklin (Norma) Newell, Austin, Mrs. Delton (Lois) Drenen, Minneapolis; four sons, Kenneth of Minneapolis, Clayton of Otisco, Minn., Ronald and Paul of Lyle.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday.
