Dean Arthur, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Dock was born Jan. 18th, 1931 and passed away Jan. 20 at the age of one week and six days. Altho little Dean spent a few short days in this world he had endeared himself to his parents and sisters. Death was caused by convulsions. Besides his parents he leave two small sisters, June and Dorthy to mourn his loss. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home with Rev. O. M. Langehough officiating. Interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Last Saturday afternoon a double tragedy happened in the St. Croix river, near Osceola, Wisconsin, when Fred and Glen Dahl, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dahl of Lyle, met their death by drowning.
Dorothy Rose Duenow Funeral services held November 21
Funeral services for Dorothy Duenow, 70, of Rochester, MN, who died Thursday, November 21, were held Saturday, November 23 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lyle, Minn., with the Rev. Harold Luecke officiating.
Dorothy Rose Duenow was born February 9, 1921 in Otranto Township, Mitchell County, to Roy and Bessie (Berg) Duenow. She was baptized and confirmed at Mona Lutheran Church. She received her elementary education at the Mona School and graduated from Luther College with a BA degree in education.
Memorial services for Dale B. Duenow, 55, of St. Ansgar, who died March 30, were held April 4 at Schroeder Funeral Home here with the Rev. Harold Luecke, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle, and the Rev. Rob Porter, pastor of the St. Ansgar Baptist church, officiating.
Dale Beaman Duenow was born April 20, 1925 in Otranto township, the son of Roy and Bessie (Berg) Duenow. He attended school at Mona Elementary and Lyle High School. He was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran church.
Obituary Of Lloyd Dahl
Lloyd Ferdinand Dahl, son of Henry and Emma Dahl, was born in Lyle, Minnesota, October 15, 1899. He passed away March 4, 1963, at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester at the age of 63. He resided in Lyle during his entire life, except for four years when he lived in Minneapolis.
He graduated from Lyle High School and Collegiate School of Business in Minneapolis. He attended the University of Minnesota where he was a member of the Student Army Training Corps, receiving his honorary discharge in 1918.

Longtime Lyle Resident Dies; Rites Incomplete
Henry Dahl, 85, a Lyle resident, died Tuesday night at St. Olaf Hospital, Austin, where he had been a patient for ten days. He had been in the hardware business in Lyle for 61 years and was a civic and religious leader. His wife died in 1950.
Survivors include a son, Lloyd Dahl, Lyle, and two daughters, Genevieve Ross, Three Hills, Alberta, Canada, and Evangeline Krause, Lyle.

Funeral services for Philip Church, rural Osage, Iowa, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Mona Lutheran Church, Rev. Gaylord Grant of that church and Rev. Einar Unseth of Faith Lutheran Church, London, officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Champion Funeral in Osage.

Philip Church, 4, rural Osage, Iowa, died Friday at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital of injuries received in an accident at home.
He is survived by his parents, Dean and Lianna Church, rural Osage; two sisters, Sarah and Elizabeth, and one brother, Joshua, all at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Almo Jahr, rural St. Ansgar, Iowa; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Church, Stacyville, Iowa; maternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Johnson, rural St. Ansgar; paternal great grandmother, Mrs. Joseph Simon, Stacyville.

Funeral Services For Philip Church Held September 19 At Mona Lutheran Church
Funeral services for Philip A. Church, 4, Osage, who died Friday, September 16 at Mitchell County memorial hospital, Osage, of injuries sustained in an accident at his home, were held Monday, September 19 at Mona Lutheran church, Mona, with the Rev. Gaylord Grant and the Rev. Einar Unseth of Faith Lutheran church, London, Minn. officiating.
Philip was born in Osage July 15, 1984, the son of Dean and Lianna (Jahr) Church.
The funeral services for Mrs. John Christianson were held at the local church last Tuesday afternoon, with the pastor, Rev. O. M. Langehough, in charge. Interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Funeral services were held form the Mona Lutheran church Wednesday for Sorine Christianson, 78, who died Sunday as the result of a tumor.
Sorine Samuelson Christianson was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Samuelson and was born in Norway on October 14, 1860. Services were in charge of Rev. Langehough, pastor of the Mona church. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Leola J. Dahl, 83, died Wednesday evening at her home in Lyle.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law: Lois and Ralph Williams, Apple Valley, Minn.; Gloria and Leo Sandgren, Greenville, S. C.; Sharon and Donald Camerer, Lyle; two sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Janet Dahl, Lyle; Gerald and Judy Dahl, Golden Valley, Minn.; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, William Painter, Sunnymeade, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Paul (Genevieve) Ross, Billingham, Wash.; Mrs. Evangeline Krause, Austin; nieces; nephews.

Gaylen Carlson
Funeral Held
In Charles City
Funeral services for a former Mona resident, Gaylen B. Carlson, 64, were held Monday, May 18 at Hage Funeral Home in Charles City with the Rev. Stanley Carlsen officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Mona.
Carlson died at his home in Charles City, Friday, May 15.
Gaylen Carlson, son of Charles and Gunda (Johnson) Carlson, was born in Mona August 31, 1905. On July 3, 1926 he married Kathryn Torgeson at Lyle.
