DIED

JOHNSON.
At her home in Lyle village, Wednesday morning, March 18, 1903, after a brief illness, Mrs. Lulu Stockwell Johnson, aged 18 years, nine months.

She was born in Green county, Wis., June 23, 1884, and came to Mower county, Minn., in 1896. She lived with her parents on a farm south of Austin until two years ago when her father purchased the Powers' hotel in Lyle where she lived until her death. She was married, July 4. 1902, to S. A. Johnson of Lyle.

The funeral of the late Aslak Asmundson who passed away at his home near Fergus Falls, Minn., April 15th, was held from the Six Mile Grove church last week Thursday and was conducted by Rev. Elmer Moe.

The deceased was born in Norway February 8th, 1857, and at the age of 12 he came to this country with his parents and settled in Mower County.

AUSTIN — The funeral for Harriet Mildred Ostenson DeMar will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Burial will be in Six Mile Grove Cemetery, rural Lyle.

Mrs. DeMar, 92, of Austin, died Thursday (Dec. 13, 2007) at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home.

She was born Dec. 7, 1915, to Alfred and Thea Ostenson in Nevada Township near Lyle. She was baptized and confirmed at Six Mile Grove Lutheran Church and attended Pinehurst country grade school.

Funeral services for Miss Mary Arneson, 89 were held Saturday, January 6 at Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle, with the Rev. M. Johnson officiating. Interment was in Six Mile Grove Lutheran cemetery. She died January 3 at Comforcare Nursing Home, Austin.

Mary Arneson, daughter of Lars and Martha Arneson was born January 19, 1878 on a farm in Nevada twp. Later in life she moved to Lyle where she resided with a sister, Anna, until the death of her sister in 1961, then made her home with a nephew, Conrad Dyrland and family.
