--Helga, the eight year old daughter of K. O. Haugen, passed away Sunday after a severe illness, since the 22nd of February. The other members of the family who have been ill are reported to be improving nicely. The family has the heartfelt sympathy of the community in their sore afflictions. --Lyle Tribune

Mrs. Palma Hedemark of Albert Lea was in Lyle Thursday making arrangements for the funeral of Elias Hedemark of Reynolds, N. D. whose remains will be brought here for burial, Saturday noon. The deceased was a brother of B. D. Hedemark formerly of Lyle. --Lyle Tribune
Henrietta Helgeson, aged 17 yrs. died Thursday of consumption; was buried Saturday at Sunny Side Cemetery, Mona, Iowa.

Funeral services for Mrs. Magnus Hanson, 90, a lifelong Otranto township resident, who died February 10 at Raymond's Nursing Home, Austin, were held on Friday, February 12 at Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. E. Unseth officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.

Mrs. Annie Hanson
Funeral services were held on Friday, August 15 at Schroeder & Houg Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, for Mrs. Annie Hanson, 85, who died at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center Tuesday, August 12. Services were in charge of the Rev. Don Comnick.
Annie E. Navesett was born December 4, 1883 in Norway, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ellend Navestt.
Carl O. Haas
Funeral Held
At Our Savior's
Funeral services for Carl O. Haas, 69, a Lyle area farmer, were held Tuesday, February 22 at Our Savior's Lutheran in Lyle with the Rev. Merland Johnson officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery, Mona.
Mr. Haas died at St. Olaf hospital in Austin, February 19 following a two years illness.

The people of Lyle and community were shocked Saturday afternoon when news reached here that Olans N. Hagna of Austin had been struck at the Mona crossing by the north bound I. C. passenger train and fatally injured.
Knute B. Gunderson
The following obituary is copied from the Austin Herald. Mr. Gunderson was formerly one of Lyle's respected citizens:
Knute B. Gunderson died at his home on the corner of Second and Baldwin streets Monday about noon at the age of almost eighty years. His death followed a six-months illness of asthma and bronchitis.

One by one the old settlers are called from our midst, some after years of pain and sufferings and others like a passing shadow with out note of warning or word of farewell, and the place which has known them so long sees them no more.
Miss Bertha Hanson died at her home Friday the 9th of March, after an illness of many years. She has suffered much but she died in the belief of Him who can relieve all suffering. She was held in high esteem among her many friends. The family have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.

At Mona Lutheran
Funeral services for Larden Halverson, 73, who died January 13 at his home in Mona, were held January 17 at the Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating.
Lardan M. Halverson was born on a farm in Six Mile Grove, Mower county, February 22, 1887, the son of Ole and Laura Halverson. He was baptized in Six Mile Grove by the Rev. Mr. Eggen and confirmed at Meridean, Wisconsin. He was an active member of the Lutheran church all his life.

At Mona Church
Funeral services for Carl K. Haugen, age 82 held last Thursday, May 7 at the Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Wm. Kamke of St. Peter Lutheran church, Toeterville officiating, with interment at Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.
Carl K. Haugen was born June 13, 1876 in Cedar Township, the son of Knut and Gertrude Haugen. He was baptized and confirmed at the Meroa Lutheran church and received his education in the Meroa school and also attended the Seminary in Osage.
MRS. CLARA HANSON
Mrs. Clara Hanson, 73, died Monday afternoon at the Halvorson Rest Home. She resided at 101 Elm Tree Road, and had been in failing health the past several years.
A former resident of Lyle, she is survived by a daughter; Mrs. Frank Schleich (Hazel), Austin; grandson, John Schleich, Wayzata; a sister, Mrs. Hans Richard son, Lyle; a brother, Christen Olswold, Austin.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon.

Funeral services for Carl M. Hanson, 79, who died Thursday, July 12 after a lingering illness, were held Sunday, July 15 at the Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Stanford Stenson officiating.
Carl Marius Hanson was born in Mitchell county March 1, 1877, the son of Martin and Karen Hanson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Mona church during his entire life.
