Funeral services for Mrs. Magnus Hanson, 90, a lifelong Otranto township resident, who died February 10 at Raymond's Nursing Home, Austin, were held on Friday, February 12 at Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. E. Unseth officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.

Betsy Hanson (nee Neese) the daughter of Martin and Bertha (Gunderson) Nesse, was born on June 7, 1880 in Otranto twp., Mitchell County. She was baptized and confirmed in First Lutheran church, St. Ansgar, and attended the rural Pleasant Prairie school near her home north of St. Ansgar.

On May 14, 1902 she was married to Magnus Hanson at Mona Lutheran church. Three daughters were born to this union.

She lived in the Mona community her entire life except for 13 years on a farm at DeGraff, Minnesota. She has been a lifelong member of the Mona Lutheran church.

Survivors are her husband, Magnus; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Clarice) Eggen of Lyle, and Mrs. Leland (Hattie) Haugen of Mona; three grandchildren, Merle Eggen of Milwaukee; Mrs. Harold (Elaine) Thompson of Albert Lea, and Mrs. Lawrence (Beverly) Lee of Mankato; four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Margie, and six sisters and five brothers.
