H. O. Dahl, Prominent Citizen of Otranto Township Dropped Dead Near His Home Last Thursday.
FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. BURINGRUD, THURSDAY, JAN 15.
Mrs. Laura Buringrud of Northwood passed away at the University hospital in Iowa City on Sunday morning. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday from the North-wood Funeral Home at 1 o'clock and at the Mona church at 2.30 p. m. Interment will be in the Mona cemetery.
GRANDMA GOULD GONE
Mrs. Martha Gould, mother of Ed Gould of St. Ansgar, died Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Frank, at Rudd. She had been sick only about ten days, following a stroke. Her age was 86.
Mrs. Gould was the wife of Collon (sic) Gould, one of Mitchell county's pioneers. Her home was near Mona for years and after the death of her husband, about 30 years ago, she made her home with one and another of her children, spending part of the time in St. Ansgar.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 27, 1985, at Mona Lutheran Church, for Mrs. Norris (Ardella) Anderson, 62, of Toeterville who died on Tuesday, June 25, 1985, at the St. Ansgar nursing home. The Rev. G. Grant officiated and burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona.
Ardella Grace (Kittleson) Anderson was born in St. Ansgar, on September 12, 1922. She was baptized in the Methodist Church in St. Ansgar. She attended grade school in St. Ansgar. She was later employed by the local produce company of St. Ansgar.

Mrs. Adolph Jahr, 57, died on Saturday morning at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage from a lingering illness of five years. She had been a patient at the hospital for the past six weeks.
Funeral services were held Tuesday of this week at Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating.

Mrs. Annie Kilgore Rites Held In Austin, Minn.
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Kilgore, 71, were held at St. Olaf Lutheran church in Austin Friday, May 6 with the Rev. Arthur L. Swenson officiating and interment was in Woodbury cemetery west of Lyle. She died suddenly at her home in Austin May 4 from heart failure.
Last Rites for Rev. Langehough [illegible] Chicago
Word reached Lyle on Thursday [illegible] former parishioners of Rev. O. M Langehough, age 65, of his sudden death at his home in Chicago Early Thursday morning, April 7.
He had conducted mid week [illegible] services Wed. eve. at [illegible] Lutheran church where he has been Pastor for the past [illegible] years. He and his wife had [illegible] before retiring and death came unexpectedly.

Funeral services for Peder P. Dock, who died of paralysis at the St. Olaf Hospital Sunday were held yesterday afternoon from the Mona Lutheran church and interment made in the Mona cemetery.
Mrs. Norris Anderson Funeral To Be June 27 Mona Lutheran Church
Funeral services for Mrs. Norris Anderson, 62, of Toeterville, who died Tuesday morning, June 25 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, will be held Thursday, June 27 at 1:30 p.m. at Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Gaylord Grant officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery. A complete obituary will appear in next week's Enterprise.
St. Ansgar, Iowa- Funeral services for Helen Eleanor Nelson, 92, of St. Ansgar, were held Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005 at the Mona Lutheran Church, Mona, Iowa, with Rev. Lydia Mittag officiating.
Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona. Helen died on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage, Iowa.

Donna Belle Duenow Bensend, 83, of Mona, Iowa, died on March 3, 2016 at the Muse Norris Hospice, Mason City, Iowa.
Donna was born July 28, 1932 in Otranto Township, Mitchell County, Iowa to Roy and Bessie (Berg) Duenow. She was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran Church. She graduated from St. Ansgar, Iowa Senior High School and received her teaching certificate from Iowa Teachers College, Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Carol Laura Williams, 88, died on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center.

Evelyn "Mina" Johnson, 82, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000 at her home.

Russell Norman Anderson, 80, of Saint Ansgar, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society in Saint Ansgar.
Mona Lutheran Centennial August 14, 15
Our Savior's Lutheran congregation at Mona is observing its Centennial August 14, 15. It was organized September 29, 1876 in Mona's first schoolhouse. It has been an independent congregation prior to that of the St. Ansgar Norwegian Lutheran church from 1853 to 1859, then from 1859 part of the Six Mile Grove congregation.
The first pastors at Mona were the Rev. C.L. Clausen, who brought Lutheranism to this area; the Rev. J. Olsen and the Rev. B.B Gjeldaker up until and through 1881.

The little village of Mona on highway 218 one mile south of Lyle in northern Mitchell county is scarcely noticed by travelers. It hasn't even been marked by a sign until last week when a sign was erected at the only place of business in the village, the Mona Grocery Store operated by Mrs. Adeline Geffert announcing the year of their Centennial.

Peter E. Anderson, 80, lifelong Mona area farmer, died Sunday, August 10 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at Mona Lutheran church with interment in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Martin Willinger Funeral Held Monday, June 2
Martin Willinger, 82, a long time Mona area farmer, died Friday, May 30 at Mitchell County Memorial hospital, Osage.
Funeral services were held on June 2 at Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. S. Klemesrud officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.

A lifelong Mona resident, Alfred J. Larson, 78, died from a lingering illness in Austin, Tuesday, July 28, and funeral services were held at Mona Lutheran church, Thursday, July 30 with the Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating. Interment was in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, Austin, Minnesota.
Alfred J. Larson, son of John and Martha (Samuelson) Larson, was born November 19, 1885 at Mona. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Mona by the Rev. J. Muller Eggen and also attended the Mona school.
Adolph Jahr

A Mona near farmer, Adolph Jahr, 71 died at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital Sunday, March 24 following a short illness.
He had farmed south of Mona since his marriage to Marian Nelson until his health failed. His wife preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 27, at Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.
