Ingebret Anderson

Ingebret Anderson, one of Mower County's oldest settlers, passed away at his home in the Six Mile Grove neighborhood, Nevada township, Monday July 12. he had been sick for some time.

Deceased was born April 1st, 1850 in Sogn, Norway. He immigrated at the age of 12 with his parents and settled near Calmar, Ia., where he lived for about 5 years, when he came to Mower County and settled in Six Mile Grove, where he lived until his death.

In 1875 he was united in marriage to Emma Berg of Mitchell County, Ia. To them were born 16 children, 10 of whom have passed away. Those living are Ole and Ingebrit of this vicinity, Sophie Hediu of Cannon Falls, Minn., Severt and Edward of Rhame, N. D.

The funeral was held at the Six Mile Grove church. Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Fardahl, Mrs. E. L. Slindee, Lars Ellingsen and John Watland of Adams attended the services.
