OBITUARY

Mary Jacobson, daughter of Andreas Anderson and Christiana Hanson, was born in Oster, Toten Norway, May 30, 1851. She came the United States with her parents when two years old, and settled in Nevada Township. She was confirmed at St. Ansgar, by Rev. Clausen. In 1868 she was married to Jacob Jacobson, by Rev. Clausen. They homesteaded in Nevada Township, where they continued to reside.

Mr. Jacobson, her husband, died in September, 1916.

Mrs. Jacobson has been in poor health for about four weeks, with heart trouble, which caused her sudden death on Thursday March 10, at 12:10 A. M.

Mrs. Jacobson was the mother of 14 children, ten of whom are living. They are Mrs M. D. Nelson, Mrs. Ole Latine, Mrs. Ibert Hofland, Sophie Jacobson, Mrs. Emma Anderson, Lewis Jacobson and John Jacobson of this vicinity, Mrs. Jewett Hofland of Vida, Mont., and Mrs. V. E. Bisbee of Baker, Mont., and Mrs. Georgina Berg of Reeder, N. D. Four children died in infancy. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Sarah Jacobson of Rose Creek, Minn., fifty grand children, and forty-one great grandchildren. The funeral was held Sunday after noon at 1 P. M. from her late home, and at the Grove Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock. Interment was made in the Grove Cemetery the service being conducted by Rev. Langehough.
