Knute Rue Rites Held At Six Mile Grove

Knute Rue, age 93, a lifelong resident of the Six Mile Grove area, died at his farm home east of Lyle February 22 from infirmities of old age. He had been in failing health for several years.

Knute Rue, the son of Ole and Andi Rue, was born March 21, 1867 on the same farm that he had lived all his life. He was baptized and confirmed in Six Mile Grove Lutheran church and was engaged in farming until his health failed.

He is survived by three brothers, Oliver and Theodore, who reside with him on the home farm, and Sam of Rhame, North Dakota, also eight nephews and four nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and three brothers. Funeral services were held at Six Mile Grove February 24 where he has been a lifelong member, with the Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating and interment was in the church cemetery.
