AUSTIN T. AUSTINSON

Austin T Austinson, son of Mr and Mrs Tollef Austinson was born in Nevada township, Mower county Minn, September 22, 1875. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Six Mile Grove church all his life.

He attended public school and one winter at Luther college at Deborah Ia. He was united in marriage to Julia Enerson in 1898, and was engaged in farming in Mower county until 1935, when the family bought a farm near McIntire where he resided until his death May 19, 1948.

He had never been ill in his life until about a year ago, when he entered Charles City hospital for a tumor operation, from which he had been in bed at home. He took great pride in his home and loved his family, and always was willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

He is survived by his wife Julia, three sons, Helmer and Mandeville, of LeRoy, Minn., and Glenn of McIntire, Ia and one daughter, Ardell, [illegible: nee?] Mrs Oscar Johnson, of Riceville, Ia, three grandchildren, Delmar and Darlene Austinson and Ardis Johnson, and one brother, Oliver T Austinson, of Lyle, Minn.
