Carol Van Tries, 62, area resident, dies

LE ROY -- Carol J. Van Tries, 62, a resident of Ostrander Nursing Home, formerly of Le Roy, died Tuesday evening (Oct. 24, 1995) at the nursing home where she had resided since 1982.

She was born Nov. 7, 1932, in Sioux City, Iowa. She was married and later divorced.

Survivors include a son, James Anderson of Cottonwood, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Le Roy, with the Rev. Matthew Vanissery officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Cedar City Cemetery south of Austin.

Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Hutchins Funeral Home in Le Roy where there will be a prayer service at 8 p.m.
