Clarence Lenz of Harmony dies at 92
HARMONY -- Clarence Lenz, 92, of Harmony, died Friday (July 28, 1995) at the Harmoney Community Nursing Home.
Born on March 5, 1903, in Clinton County, Iowa, he married Marguerite Galloway on Nov. 12, 1930, in the LIttle Brown Church in Nashua.
The couple lived in Blue Earth before moving to a rural area southwest of Austin in 1950. They came to rural Harmony in 1965 and farmed until moving into town in December 1993.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, C. Wayne of Harmony, Marvin of Rochester, Lewis of Richmond, Minn., and Jerry of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dale Lenz of Rolfe, Iowa; and two sisters, Bess Bilgore of San Bernadino, Calif. and Leone Fockstader of Puyallup, Wash. He was preceded in death by a sister and five brothers.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the United Methodist Church in Harmony. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Woodbury Cemetery at Lyle.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony and one hour before the service Monday at the church.
