Viola Hanson, Williams Bay, formerly of Austin

AUSTIN -- A memorial service was held for Viola Hanson in Williams Bay, Wis., on Sunday. A Minnesota service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Cedar City Cemetery in Austin.

Mrs. Hanson, 93, of Williams Bay, formerly of Austin, died May 17, 2000, at Cherry Glen Retirement Home in Williams Bay.

Viola Sunnoe was born Feb. 9, 1907, in Jewell, Iowa. She married Cyrus Hanson Feb. 9, 1932, in Austin. He died Jan. 28, 1988. Mrs. Hanson was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and its ladies aid, Sons of Norway, Cedar City Cemetery Association, Cedar City Mothers Club and A Friendly Twenty Four Homemakers Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Twila Johnson of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Lynda Olsen of Williams Bay; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A son preceded her in death.

Toynton Funeral Home in Walworth, Wis., is in charge of arrangements.
