Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Olson, 89, were held Monday at the First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar with the Rev. O. A. Langehough in charge. Burial was made in the church cemetery. Mrs. Olson died Friday, June 4, at her home of old age and complications.

Helen Nelson was born March 1, 1859, the daughter of Nels and Anne Paulson Nelson at Six Mile Grove east of Lyle. She was baptized June 13, 1859, and confirmed at the Six Mile Grove Lutheran church October 18, 1874, by the Rev J Olsen.

December 1, 1881, she was married to Amos E. Olson, and they made their home north of St. Ansgar. They lived here until 1908 when they returned to St. Ansgar where they lived the rest of their lives. Mr. Olson died June 18, 1922.

Mrs. Olson united with the First Lutheran church of St. Ansgar in 1885, shortly after moving to the community, and remained a loyal and faithful member until she died.

Surviving is one sister, Miss Lista Nelson, of St. Ansgar. Her parents, five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
