Sharyl Ann Nelson -- Austin

AUSTIN -- The funeral for Sharyl Ann Nelson will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Austin, with the Rev. Patricia M. Toschak officiating. Burial will be in Cedar City Cemetery in rural Austin.

Mrs. Nelson, 58, of Austin, died Saturday (Aug. 7, 2004) at her home.

Sharyl Ann Heiny was born Oct. 24, 1945, in Austin, and graduated from Glenville High School. On Aug. 4, 1967, she married Eugene Nelson at First United Methodist Church in Austin. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors and the Eagles, and she enjoyed crafts and gardening.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Wade (Beth) and Dustin (Amanda), both of Austin; five grandchildren; her mother, Ruth Heiny of Austin; a brother, Gary (Marcy Warrington) Heiny of Austin; and a sister, Linda (Dennis) Whalen of Lyle. Her father preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin and for one hour before the service Tuesday at the church.
