Ruby C. Ellis dies at 96 in Austin

AUSTIN -- Ruby C. Ellis, 96, of St. Mark's Lutheran Home, a lifelong Austin resident and formerly of of 1711 Fourth St. N.E., died Sunday (Nov. 12, 1995) at the nursing home.

Ruby C. Watkins was born Aug. 19, 1899, in Austin. On Oct. 20, 1918, she married Howard Ellis in Austin. Mrs. Ellis was a homemaker and a member of Crane Community Chapel.

Her husband and three brothers preceded her in death. She is survived by nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be 2 p.m Wednesday at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin, with the Rev. Joe Matt officiating. Burial will be in Cedar City Cemetery in Austin.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
