AUSTIN -- There will be a memorial service for Roger A. Olson at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church in Austin with the Rev. Bruce Wilder officiating. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 91. Spring burial will be in Cedar City Cemetery in rural Austin.

Mr. Olson, 46, of Route 1, Austin, a carpenter, died Friday evening (Jan. 3, 1997) at his home after a four-year illness with cancer.

Born April 17, 1950, in Austin, he graduated from Austin High School and Austin Technical College. On Nov. 19, 1971, he married Carol Ashton in Sioux Falls S.D. He was an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife; twin sons, Jeremic of Austin and Timothy of Killeen, Texas; his parents, Bernard and Judith Olson of Austin; two brothers, Terry of Rochester and Dennis of Austin; and a sister, Carolyn (Mrs. Wade) Nelson of Austin.

Friends may call half an hour before the service Tuesday at the church.

Mayer Funeral Home in Austin is in charge of arrangements.
