Rites For Former
Lyle Resident
Held In Austin

Funeral services for a former Lyle area resident, Mrs. William (Bill Murphy, 72, were held at Queen of Angels church in Austin Saturday, April 15 with interment in Calvary cemetery. Officiating were Father Trocinski and Msgr. Cunningham.

Catherine R. Hoban was born May 4, 1889 in Oakland township, the daughter of Patrick and Mary Hoban, she moved to Austin with her parents where she resided until her marriage to William E. Murphy November 18, 1911. They resided in Lyle until 1919 and then moved to a farm northeast of Lyle and she was substitute mail carrier for her husband on Route for many years. She lived in the Lyle area until 1953. The past eight years she has lived in Austin, Minnesota.

She died April 13 at Worrall hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Survivors are two brothers, Arthur Hoban of Austin and James Hoban of Ogema, Minnesota.
