Oliver G. Blakestad, 74, Dies at Lyle, Sunday, July 28

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Our Saviors Lutheran church at Lyle for Oliver G. Blakestad, father of Mrs. L. R. Falk and Mrs. Luther Tollefson of St. Ansgar. Mr. Blakestad died at his home in Lyle early Sunday morning following a lingering illness. The Rev. T. G. Torvik, pastor of the Lutheran church was in charge of the obsequies with burial in the Mona cemetery.

Mr. Blakestad has been an undertaker and furniture dealer at Lyle throughout his business life. At the time of his death he had reached the age of 74 years.

He is survived by his wife, six daughters, two sons and 12 grandchildren.
