MRS. D. D. LIONE

Mrs. D. D. Lione, who has been in poor health for some time, passed away Monday evening at 7:30 at the hospital in Austin, where she had been for about three weeks. She was conscious to the very last and longed for the end to come. To her, death had no sting, but was a welcome transition from the mortal to the immortal. She was a faithful and devout Christian and endeavored by precept and example to live a Christian life. No one entered her home or came into her presence without being conscious of her implicit trust in the Heavenly Father.

Olga Julia Peterson was born in Sogndahl, Norway, Dec. 4, 1838 and there grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Knut. S. Orwold and with him immigrated to America and settled on a farm in this vicinity. Later they moved to Minneapolis, where Mr. Orwold died in 1885. On July 19, 1888, she was united in marriage to Daniel D. Lione and from that time until her death made her home in Lyle. For the past three years her health has been failing, but no until the last few months was it known that the end was near.

She leaves besides her husband, two brothers, James and Ole Peterson and one sister, Mrs. Martin Matson, all of this vicinity. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the Lutheran church and the remains were laid to rest in the family lot in Six Mile Grove Cemetery.
