Mrs. Linnea Hollerud Funeral Held At Six Mile Grove

Funeral services for Mrs. John (Linnea) Hollerud, 84, who died August 7 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Austin, were held August 10 at Six Mile Grove Lutheran church with the Rev. G. Grant officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Linnea Hollerud, daughter of Anders and Charlotte (Johannson) Anderson, was born at Asker, Norway March 6, 1892 and was the fourth child of a family of 13 children.

She was baptized and confirmed at Stramasgada Lutheran church in Norway by the Rev. Madgrund and attended school in Asker.

October 28, 1911 she was married to John Hollerud at Stromsa, Norway by the Rev. Gede Dahl. Her husband came to America November, 1911 and she joined him in the early part of 1912. They farmed in Nevada and Lyle townships until 1946 when they moved to Lyle where she resided until 1974 when she became a resident of the Sacred Heart Hospice in Austin.

Her survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Mildred) Leidall of Lyle; Mrs. Herman (Lillian) Skov and Mrs. George (Eva) Hendrickson of Austin; three sons, Leonard, Norman and Kenneth, all of Austin; 29 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; one brother and seven sisters, all living in Norway.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1960; one son, Charles; one grandson and two great grandchildren.

Relatives came from Freemont, Neb.; Forest Lake, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Albert Lea, Rochester, Minn. and New Hampton and Stacyville.
