MEMORIAL HELD FOR WAR VICTIM
Service at Lyle, Minn. for Sgt. Marion Bell
Lyle, Minn. -- Memorial services for Sgt. Marion Bell were held Sunday afternoon in the Lyle Mission church with the Rev. Howard Root and the Rev. Carl Volstad officiating.
Sgt. Bell was reported missing in action Feb. 3 and not until July 7 did his wife receive word that he was killed in action.
Sgt. Bell was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bell of Lyle and was married to Mary Jean Orcutt. He is survived by his wife, one small daughter, 2 brothers, William and Verne of Lyle, and one sister, Mrs. Virginia Anderson of Austin.
