LYLE — The funeral for Marion I. Larson will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lyle, with the Rev. Barb Finley-Shea officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mona, Iowa.

Mrs. Larson, 90, of Lyle, died Tuesday (April 10, 2007) at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home in Austin.

Marion Ileene Marshall was born March 10, 1917, in West Liberty, Iowa. On March 10, 1939, she married Levi B. Larson in Lyle. She enjoyed being a homemaker, rearing their children, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She belonged to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Lioness Club, Rebecca Circle and the Senior Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Berneda (Keith) Hawton of Redwood Falls, Minn., and Betty Gardner of Rochester; a son, Bernard (Diane) Larson of North Bend, Neb.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Salisbury of Austin. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996, two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
