LYLE -- Janel M. Gleason, 39, of Lyle and a lifelong area resident, died Monday evening (April 27, 1992) at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester after a long illness.

Janel Maureen Bendtsen was born March 20, 1953, in Austin. She worked in data processing at the Mower County Courthouse.

Survivors include her husband, Steve; a son, Philip, at home; two daughters, Kara and Marjorie, both at home; her parents, Myles and Mary Bendtsen of Rose Creek; five sisters, Kathy (Mrs. Perry) Larson of Lewiston, Denise (Mrs. Tom) Lewison of Rose Creek, Alane (Mrs. Kendall) Klaehn of Dexter, and Mary (Mrs. Ross) Johnson and Melanie (Mrs. Dave) Olson, both of Rochester; and four brothers, Randy Bendtsen of Kobe, Japan, Brad Bendtsen of Peoria, Ill., Les Bendtsen of Eagan, Minn., and Dean Bendtsen of Rose Ceeek; and her paternal grandmother, Anna Bendtsen.don't know address.

The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lyle, with the Rev. Harold Luecke officiating. Burial will be in Woodbury Cemetery in rural Lyle.
