Peterman Funeral Tuesday

The funeral of the late James Peterman, who died at the hospital at Austin Saturday on account of burns caused by an explosion at the old Peter Johnson farm in Lyle township Friday morning, was held at the Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon. Interment was made in Woodbury cemetery.

The deceased suffered intensely, was conscious to the very last and welcomed death to end the excruciating pain.

James Peterman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peterman, was about 31 years of age, and leaves besides his parent, two sisters: Mrs. Ed Lukes and Mrs. Archie Campbell; and three brothers, Charley, Roy and George. A brother, Elmer, died while in the service.

He was a member of Alma Lodge No. 131, A. F. and A. M., and the Knights of Pythias of this place.

The numerous floral tributes were evidence of the esteem in which the deceased was held, and the sympathy of the community for the bereaved and grief stricken family.
