Funeral Friday for Denis Nelson of Austin

AUSTIN -- The funeral for Denis M. Nelson will be 3 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Austin, with the Rev. Mark Nordell officiating. Burial will be in Cedar City Cemetery in rural Austin.

Mr. Nelson, 56, of Route 2, Austin, died today (Sept. 11, 1996) at his home.

He was born Dec. 23, 1939, in Austin, and graduated from Austin High School. He was employed at Hormel Foods Corp. in Austin.

Survivors include his wife, Sharan Nelson of Austin; his parents, Art and Marna Nelson of Austin; two sons, Schannan Nelson of Rose Creek and Shay Nelson of Lyle; a daughter, Shelley (Mrs. Marty) Tebay of Austin; one grandchild; and a sister, Ellen (Mrs. Roger) Hanson of Mankato.

Friends may call at Clasen-Jordan Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and for an hour before the service at the church Friday. There will be no reviewal at the church.
