Funeral Rites Held for Alice Thovson

Miss Alice J. Thovson, 81 who has lived in Mona the past 20 years, passed away Monday March 2, at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Austin, Minn, where she and her sister had moved only last December.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 5, at Six Mile Grove Lutheran church with Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating and interment was in the church cemetery.

Alice J. Thovson was born March 28, 1882, in Mower county where she lived most of her life until she and her sister left the farm and moved to Mona. She was baptized and confirmed in Six Mile Grove Lutheran church where she was a lifelong member.

Her only survivors are a sister, Nettie Thovson of Austin and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
