Funeral services for Miss Emma Sandvig, 74, who died at her home in Lyle June 9, were held Wednesday, June 12 at Six Mile Grove Lutheran church with the Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Emma Sandvig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Sandvig, was born October 29, 1888 in Otranto township, east of Mona in Mitchell county.

She attended the rural school at Mona and also one year at the St. Ansgar Seminary. She was baptized and confirmed in the Six Mile Grove Lutheran church by the Rev. J. Mueller Eggen and was a life long member of the church.

She lived her entire life on the home farm east of Mona with her sister and brother until the fall of 1959 when they moved to Lyle where she died June 9 at the age of 74 following several years of illness.

She is survived by a brother, John and two sisters, Louise and Clara (Mrs. Alfred Haugen) all of this community; also two nieces, Mary (Mrs. Dale Sievert) of Coon Rapids, Minn. Ann (Mrs. Thomas Knudsen) of Lyle and one nephew, John Haugen.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary.
