Elizabeth `Betty' Larson -- Austin

AUSTIN -- The funeral for Elizabeth Mabel ``Betty'' Larson will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin, with the Revs. Myrwood Bagne and James Mikkelson co-officiating. Burial will be in Cedar City Cemetery in Austin.

Mrs. Larson, 81, of Austin, a homemaker, died Wednesday (Dec. 18, 1996) at St. Mark's Lutheran Home.

Betty M. Olson was born Jan. 6, 1915, in Lyle Township, Mower County, attended an area country school and lived in Mower County all her life. She married Loy Ames and he preceded her in death. In 1953, she married Jens I. Larson and he died in 1992. Mrs. Larson was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and the Danish Sisterhood.

Survivors include a son, Vernon Ames of Austin; three daughters, Mary (Mrs. Jerry) Gebhart of Brownsdale, Minn., Sharon (Mrs. Fred) Raap of Osburn, Idaho, and Laura ``Lollie'' (Mrs. Mike) McDeid of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Two sons preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and an hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
