AUSTIN — The funeral for Eileen A. Heiny will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin, with the Rev. Russell Wangen officiating. Interment will be in Cedar City Cemetery in rural Lyle.

Mrs. Heiny, 85, a lifelong Austin resident, died Sunday (July 29, 2007) at Austin Medical Center.

Eileen Hoff was born June 23, 1922, in Austin. She married Sidney M. Heiny on April 26, 1947, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. She worked as a bookkeeper at the Austin Daily Herald for many years, worked at Sears for 14 years, and also worked at Woelfel Jewelry. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, dancing, camping, riding horses, and ceramics.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Cindy (James) Samuel of Austin; two sons, Thomas (Barb) and Robert, both of Austin; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers and an infant son.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, and an hour before the service Thursday at the funeral home.
