Carroll Johnson Funeral At Our Savior's

Carroll Harlan Johnson, son of Henry and Sadie Johnson of Lyle, died at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin, Minn. February 27 at the age of 33. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Lyle, and was a graduate of the Lyle high school.

On April, 15, 1950, he was united in marriage to Betty Bakke of Lyle, at Austin, Minn, and to this union were born a son and two daughters.

He had been ill the past three years and was unable to work. His work was that of a mechanic, and for several years was employed at the Leidall Garage and Implement in Lyle. During the years of 1957-58, he was employed as a welder, at the Ford Co. and the Missile Dept. of Consolidated Steel Co. in Los Angles, California.

He is survived by his wife, his three children, Sammy--age 11, Kathy 9, Cindy 7, also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry O. Johnson. Two sisters, (Eva) Mrs. Maurice Asper, LaMirado, California; (Norma) Mrs. Harold Lundquist, Austin, Minn.; two brothers, Harold of Temple City, California and his twin brother, Clair of Denver, Colorado.

Funeral services were held at Our Savior's Lutheran church Friday, March 2 with the Rev. Stanley Klemesrud officiating, with committal rites at Pleasant Hill cemetery, Mona, Iowa. Pallbearers were Robert Olson, Leonard Leidall, Spencer Morgan, Larry Morgan and Delmer Morgan, and Ronald Haugland.

Relatives attending from out of town were Miss Orla Johnson and Lafayette Olson of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Weber, Clayton, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. Clair Johnson, Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Maurice Asper, LaMirdao, California, Mrs. Thea Johnson, Rochester, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Olson and Bennie Olson of Albert Lea.

Others attending were from Chester, Iowa, Rose Creek, London and Austin, Minnesota.
